A TREND-SETTING PLANNING TOOL FOR TRAVEL PROS
Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Itineraries Minnesota, Inc. was
founded in 2001 by two marketing professionals with experience in tourism
and travel promotion. Having a vision of just how important tourism and
the group travel industry is becoming in the economies of the upper Midwest
and central Canada, Heather Lahren and Mark Peterson founded ITINERARIES MINNESOTA
Magazine and a prominent group travel show that work together
to promote group travel in the upper Midwest. The ITMN brand
has become well established in the minds of group travel decision-makers
throughout the travel trade industry across North America and Canada,
resulting in the upper-Midwest having become an even more popular
regional destination than ever before.
ITINERARIES MINNESOTA MAGAZINE
Our signature product, a glossy full-color seasonal magazine,
is published three times a year with a controlled distribution
mailed to more than 12,000 targeted group travel planners each
issue (tour operators, travel agents, bank club directors, and
specialty group leaders). Fresh and effective editorial content
always includes creative ideas not readily known about, with
our goal being to present 25+ new and unique "real time" itineraries
and/or itinerary stops for planners. We have had the repeated
pleasure to hear from planners: "That's a great package idea.
I am going to check into it," "What a excellent daytrip," and "I
just can't throw your magazine away."
Plus, in every fall issue there is an annual pullout map that displays
destinations to assist decision-makers in itinerary planning and routing.
FIELD TRIPS RESOURCE DIRECTORIES
Our growth has seen the creation of additional publications that
serve particular segments of the group travel industry. FIELD
TRIPS MINNESOTA TRAVEL COMPANION and FIELD TRIPS WISCONSIN
TRAVEL COMPANION are
annual state-focused resource directories for individuals, families,
active adults, Red Hats, teachers, scouts, church leaders and
other youth group leaders. 50,000 of each are published every
year, and distributed for the benefit of each state's educational
and recreational destinations frequented by all ages of youth
groups.
GREAT NORTH SHOWS
Each fall the annual GREAT NORTH
Group Travel Show & FAM provides a variety of group travel events, plus
face-to-face interaction with well-qualified travel trade professionals and a
variety of new experiences.

As a companion promotional tool to ITINERARIES MINNESOTA Magazine,
our website www.itinerariesminnesota.com has
become a tool for the travel trade industry to obtain current
and past issue PDF downloads of all our publications, to be hot
linked to advertiser websites, to register for shows, and to
find itineraries in our ITINERARIES ARCHIVES.
SOUTHERN MINNESOTA VISITOR GUIDE
Itineraries Minnesota has been working with the Southern Minnesota
Tourism Association and Explore Minnesota Tourism in producing
the EXPLORE SOUTHERN MINNESOTA Visitor Guide since
2005...selling, designing, printing and distributing more than
150,000 copies to upper Midwest leisure travelers every year.
